Congresswoman to speak
U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins, R-Kansas, is scheduled to be the speaker for the Profiles of Women in Government Series at noon Friday, Nov. 13, in the Wilkinson Alumni Center. The ninth annual speaker series is sponsored by the PSU Foundation and the university.
Drinking talk rescheduled for Nov. 10
Kim Novak's presentation on drinking, "Choices: Changing the Drinking Culture on Campus," has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Crimson and Gold ballroom. The event is sponsored by Student Prevention and Wellness and Gorillas in Your Midst.
Artwork exhibit
Los Angeles artist Jennifer Anderson explores human stories through her works in the Harry Krug Gallery through Wednesday, Nov. 18. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fiction reading
The PSU English Department will host a fiction reading by Michael Thomas at 8 p.m. tonight in 109 Grubbs Hall. The event is sponsored by Distinguished Visiting Writers Series and the Student Fee Council.
Last day to drop course Nov.6
Students can withdraw from a full-term class no later than Friday, Nov. 6. Students can process withdrawals through GUS through https://go.pittstate.edu/regis/grades. For more information, call the Registrar's office at 235-4200.
26th annual faculty author reception
The 26th annual faculty author reception will be held at 3 p.m. today in the browsing area of the Axe Library. The reception will honor Donald Baack, Judy Berry-Bravo, Selim Giray, Casie Hermansson, David Hurford, Stephen Meats, Randy Roberts, Stephen Timme, Bobby Winters, Kelly Woestman and Paul Zagorski.
