I think that with the increasing number of bicyclists on the road, the topic of bike safety should be addressed. I recently started riding my bike everywhere due to the increasing gas prices and have been harassed by cars every time I am on the road. I assume it is because ignorant people have not been properly educated as to the fact that bicycles are vehicles, too. They belong on the road. Furthermore, some bicyclists don't ride on the right side, causing drivers even more confusion. I have been harassed on a number of occasions by vehicles tailing me, honking at me and even throwing things out their window at me. I think the bike shop would have knowledge as to Pittsburg laws as well as the police themselves. Someone needs to educate these ignorant drivers and teach them that bicycles are meant to be on the road, and are vehicle, too. For everyone's safety.
