Sunday marked the 82nd Academy Awards. The ceremony opened with Neil Patrick Harris's rousing musical number. Then co-hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin took the stage. Oscar host alum Martin and new-timer Baldwin were successful in bringing the laughs.

This past Sunday Southeast's Department of Theatre and Dance wrapped up its production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel." Amidst the various production values of note, one aspect stood out above all else: the vocal performances.
